Are there any surgeons around willing to do a lobotomy to stop bad thoughts?

Question by ☆Purple Girl♀: Are there any surgeons around willing to do a lobotomy to stop bad thoughts?
I cannot mind my own business without thoughts I never ask for nor want invading my mind, ruining my life, and making me miserable. The violent fantasies come into my mind without my own doing in the least. I’ve tried almost everything to stop these. I’ve tried therapists, tried God, tried hospitalization, tried psychotrophic and experimental meds, tried forgiving others, tried self help, alcohol, street drugs, etc. Nothing stops the thoughts, and my life is not worth living with them.

So where can I go to find a surgical solution to this?

I don’t think you need a surgeon. I think you have Asperger’s.

It’s a difficult struggle. Talk to a counsellor to find out where they come from, and work through it.

I’m sorry… I’m so sad…

How to get rid of bothersome thoughts? Do you have some like these? If so what do you do to stop them?

Question by sophia_of_light: How to get rid of bothersome thoughts? Do you have some like these? If so what do you do to stop them?
Often I think of things my mother and my sister have said to me when I were younger, growing up that really brings me down! I try to stop the thoughts and memories but they continue and it sometimes leads to deep depression. Sometimes these thoughts happen as soon as I wake up and/or through out the day. Please be serious and no rude or bogas replies. These things that have been said by them they haven’t even followed &/or these things said haven’t applied to them but were ment to apply to me. How do you deal, cope or manage with this, some of these things were very crule and have hurt my whole being. I feel as though I am haunted by these things that were said so many years ago almost daily. I know they were said in the past but my pain is like it were yesterday, I know I should not hold a grudge but can’t let go of memories or hurt feeling to get past it. I am not even sure that I hold a grudge but I do know it messes with my mind, emotions and seriously brings me down!
I feel like confronting them both like this is my only hope to heal but this would only start a family fight and I will loss!

you don’t have to carry all that painful hurtful baggage with you. You are the only one that can control what you do or don’t think, but it does take a commitment to practise control. Suggest you would do well to see a therapist, they can sometimes help you to develop coping skills and help you devise a plan for unloading all that old baggage.

Fine a friend to speak to maybe, if not seek help from a therapist. I have a friend that does the same thing and I know talking to me helps them alot. You need to voice your feelings to someone, its the only thing that will help at all. Stay strong!

Is there a way to stop blunt headaches when thinking bad thoughts?

Question by Reality Maker: Is there a way to stop blunt headaches when thinking bad thoughts?
I have a overactive conscious. When I propose something for myself, I associate selfish thoughts with bad thoughts. I have the right to be happy, but I have the mind of a child. So, I feel guilty for things that aren’t bad at all. The headaches are small, blunt, short-lived and remote to different parts of my head. Please, help!

You have grow up in some sort. Practice doing something because its right for you and not feel guilty. When you do have that gut wrenching feeling just tell yourself to brush it off and look at the positive results that you got for doing it.
