First memory: Do you remember thoughts or events that happened before you could talk?

Question by : First memory: Do you remember thoughts or events that happened before you could talk?
I remember very clearly thoughts and events that happened before I could speak. I remember my mom holding me in her arms and talking to me: I perfectly understood everything she said, but I could respond only with hand signs.

I also remember thoughts I entertained for a while, like the insatiable curiosity to touch a plug (with my tongue!). My friends think I am «different» when I tell them I remember such old memories. I just want to know whether it is that abnormal.

Yes, I did.
1. I remember climbing up a counter to get get my Marvin Martian Spinning Lollipop in my old house (we moved out before I could talk)
2. I also remember dropping a Thomas the Tankengine in a store. I couldn’t talk and tell my mom, so I lost it. I still haven’t found it.
So, yeah. I remember stuff like you :]

How can I deal with these thoughts before and after a concert?

Question by That One Guy: How can I deal with these thoughts before and after a concert?
I’m going to the Billy Joel concert in St. Paul Wednesday night. I’ve seen him three times and each time has been better than the last. I know this night will be one of the best nights of my life. However, after every show of his I’ve been to, even if it was a fantastic show, I’ve found myself feeling depressed as I’m walking out of the arena. I’m sad that the show is over, and I’ve always had to wonder if I’ll ever get to see him again, as he keeps saying he’s going to retire. Chances are, the show this Wednesday really will be my last chance. Billy and his music have been a huge part of my life since I was 12…I practically consider the guy family. When I hear the closing chords to Piano Man at the end of the show, I’ll be part elated, but also a big part of me will feel as though one of the best chapters of my life is closing, and I’m saying goodbye to a cherished family member. How can I put these thoughts out of my mind and just enjoy the show? I’m almost afraid to go.
